A woman has claimed to have begun a new chapter after moving her living room sofa from one side of the living room to the other.
Marie, a 44-year-old mother of three from Lancashire has claimed that she feels “reinvigorated” after moving this piece of furniture in her house. When speaking to The Public Edit Marie said the following: “I just feel like a new woman for the first time since my last child was born, all of sudden I feel free and that I can achieve anything you know – it’s incredible”
The Public Edit wanted to know more about the benefits of moving furniture around in your house, and so we contacted Dr Richard Dick, Director of Home Psychology at Wellbeing UK who told us about the benefits of this activity.

“Well, it all comes down to your brain – if there’s a major change in your life then certain hormones can release that sense of newness and have positive effects on your mental health, moving furniture that has been sitting in the same place for years can prove that to us and our team at Wellbeing UK has been proactively studying this matter for a decade”
Marie is now encouraging others to do the same and has started a social media movement because of this on her Instagram account. “People out there need to understand that doing this will have a massively positive effect on their lives. Over 50% of my audience have claimed excellent results – that’s 5 whole people who I have helped, help themselves and we’ve even met up to discuss future ideas that can help us and the common consumer”

When we asked Marie what the first thing was she noticed that had changed after moving her sofa, she simply claimed: “I could finally use the socket behind the sofa for the first time since buying the house in 2011” That to her was the first huge changed she noticed, and now she can charge and power more devices up in the house.
Experts say thousands of Britons may be living with furniture layouts that no longer serve them emotionally and that there should be a national wave of consumers trying this to ensure they lead happy lives.
